Pediatric dentist Dr. Fatina of Gramercy Kids Smiles is trained in tongue-tie and lip-tie treatments and will explain the effects that a tongue or lip tie can have on feeding and dental care, as well as treatment options for parents to consider. She’ll also discuss how to care for your baby’s oral health in the first year and will answer any questions you might have about teething, brushing, pacifiers, thumb-sucking, bottles, sippy cups, the first dental visit, and more.

Since we still aren’t able to get together for our usual in-person mom-to-be meetups and new mom happy hours, Mom Crew is bringing the fun online! Join for a free Zoom meetup on April 13 at 3pm ET / 12pm PT to connect with other new and expectant moms.

Zoom meetups are a great way to be able to connect “face-to-face” right from the comfort of your own home to share thoughts or concerns, ask questions and get advice, and make new friends. Come as you are and feel free to bring a snack or a drink if you’d like.

In November, Dr. Andrei Cimpian will run a virtual workshop to present strategies, activities, and communication tools for increasing young children's motivation in school. He will discuss the idea of a “growth mindset,” which is the belief that intelligence can be developed, rather than being fixed at birth. We will also discuss how young children’s mindsets about ability can shape their responses to adversity in school and how we can help young children view challenges as exciting rather than threatening.
